Welcome to the GETdb

The development of an innovative drug is complex and time-consuming, and identifying promising drug targets with high clinical efficacy from tens of thousands of human genes is a critical step in modern drug discovery. The previous research has revealed that successful targets tend to share some genetic and evolutionary features, and genetic and evolutionary information of genes has been found to facilitate the drug target identification.

GETdb not only integrates and standardizes data from dozens of commonly used drug and target databases, but also innovatively includes the genetic and evolutionary information of targets. Moreover, considering that allosteric proteins have great potential as targets due to their structural diversity, this database is also equipped with an effective allosteric protein prediction model.

GETdb contains information:

1. 4,337 targets interacting with 29,116 drugs
2. 8,100 standardized disease names
3. 20,442 disease-associated genes
4. 12,778 pairs of Ohnologs genes and 1,263,664 pairs of paralog genes
5. Evolutionary stages of ~18,000 genes
6. Gene expression specificity in 30 tissues

In GETdb, users can:

1. Query the genetic and evolutionary information of genes
2. Query the basic biomedical information of genes
3. Query the targeted genes and clinical information of drugs
4. Query the associated genes/proteins and drugs of diseases
5. Prediction the allosteric proteins
